Tom has excellent insight into character and can deliver good customization because of this. He looked at my interests and strong suits and has responded to this. As a result, he was able to provide me with appropriate teaching materials & exercises, without losing sight of the important elements of development. He is realistic in what he can mean for you as a person, and doesn't try to sell you something that wouldn't be feasible.

I got to know Tom as a very enthusiastic and passionate teacher who has ensured that I now have a good basis in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery and PHP. As teacher of the web developer course that I followed, he is a natural talent who is able to translate difficult abstract concepts into practical simple examples and he knows flawlessly whether a group of students understands the subject matter or not.

I have experienced Tom as a nice teacher with a great passion for teaching. Tom knows how to shape his lessons in an interesting and playful way, so that at the end of the lesson you will not only have learned something, but you will have also had a fun and valuable day. The lessons contain everything you need to know about programming. Tom's knowledge is up-to-date and you can reach out to him with any question. Tom is flexible in his teaching. When difficulties are experienced, sufficient time is taken to convey the subject matter in a different way so that no one is left behind. You as an individual and your own process are taken into account during the training. With zero experience in the field of web development, thanks to Tom's help, I managed to grow into a programmer with a very solid foundation and I do I now have knowledge about various branches within the profession!

I describe Tom Bartels as a person with a lot of passion for teaching and programming. Someone who likes to pass on the correct way of doing things to others. This also has a positive influence on his students, as it were the programming virus that he passes on. He also has a connection with students that not every teacher has and that motivates his students very much. Tom has many talents: programming, teaching, gaming etc. etc... The best thing is when these things come together in his teaching materials and the lessons that he gives in class.I compliment him with that too! You will not easily find someone who has so much passion and pleasure in writing/creating lessons!

I have experienced Tom as a calm, kind, eager to learn, smart and reliable teacher. He doesn't make listing to theory a "drag" and keeps it fun. Tom is always enthusiastic in his teaching (never seen him "grumpy") and has a broad knowledge of web development. Tom is easy to approach with problems, helps you find a solution and is open to questions about anything and everything. Moreover, he can deal well with the target audience (Autism, AD(H)D and the like). Through all of this he made me feel that school can be fun, that study materials can be fun and that teachers can also be understanding and kind.

As a private individual I followed a refresher course with Tom to brush up on my knowledge in WebDevelopment. Both the support and guidance were excellent. He is very professional and was able to challenge me as a student by asking the right questions to check whether I actually master the subject. He knows how to transfer the teaching material enthusiastically and at the same time calmly and is very happy to share his knowledge. A good teacher is always approachable and understanding towards students and Tom certainly is! He also creates a fun but most of all motivating atmosphere during the lessons. Always ready to answer questions or explain things; he remains helpful and above all patient. Tom is very familiar with the target group and can handle this well and anticipate on it with regards to the themes of the lessons. I have noticed that he can deliver excellent customization due to his flexibility and broad expertise.

From 2018-present I have taken web development lessons from Tom. Because of that I learned good basic knowledge that I can now apply on an internship. From the first moment it clicked immediately. There are many common interests that are particularly popular with our age group. As a person he is not only involved in teaching, but also happy to help you with personal problems. You can always have a nice chat about anything and everything, even if it is not related to the lessons. Tom gives the impression that he really wants to teach you something, among other things by also keeping himself up-to-date on the various topics. You notice he does it because he likes it and that feeling is transferred to us. All in all, a chill guy that you can have fun with and learn a lot from.

I myself received one year of lessons, support and guidance from Tom. During this period I noticed that Tom gives explanations and examples that are understandable for everyone. The right support with a good dose of enthusiasm and patience ensured that I enjoyed my trajectory with Tom.
